Modern Polish Prose and Poetry - PLH326
This unit is offered externally and examines some of the most representative texts of Polish prose and poetry. Students will read two of the six prescribed novels by such authors as W. Gombrowicz, Cz. Miłosz (Nobel Prize), T. Konwicki and S. Lem. Poetry will be represented by W. Szymborska (Nobel Prize), M. Pawlikowska -Jasnorzewska, H. Poświatowska, T. Różewicz, Z. Herbert, Cz. Miłosz. Reading the novels and poems will not only enrich your vocabulary and knowledge about Polish literature but also will be an enjoyable activity. We hope that students will enjoy discovering an imaginative world of prose and poetry.
