Musical Creativity and Performance - MUS306
This unit enables students to consolidate their musical learning in popular music studies through research, individual artistry and/or advanced performance. Collaborative performance focused projects will be supplemented with stagecraft, musical creativity and production workshops. In addition, individual projects will be student initiated and initial written proposals will be followed with faculty consultations. The unit will culminate in a showcase of individual student projects and/or performances. A written research report on the process and realisation of the individual project will be submitted at the conclusion of the unit. Students will also be required to submit an integrative portfolio of their key achievements in popular music studies.
