Media Cultures - MAS105
This unit assesses some of the major transformations and continuities in the media environment of the early 21st century. Topics covered include: technological convergence; global media flows; regulation and ownership of media industries; the challenges to publicly funded media in an increasingly global and digital media environment; new and emerging media industries, including the creative industries discourse; key discourses and frameworks for analysing media audiences.
