Social Innovation, Governance and Professional Leadership - LEX300

This unit is subject to a quota. Limited places are available. Please refer to the Faculty for further information

In this unit you interact with practitioners and social justice policy-makers from the legal profession, government, corporates, and advocacy groups, to generate socio-legal reform proposals. The practitioners relate experiences of professional environments and challenges, and lead you in addressing issues in governance, access to justice, social opportunity, cultural evolution, and deliberative democracy. Your multi-disciplinary team will reflect on how the consultative, collaborative and deliberative capacities of professionals can mediate innovation, leadership and community change in social justice. You are mentored to develop socio-legal proposals and advocacy with direct Australian and global applications, and present them for consideration by real stakeholders.
