Law and Sexuality - LAW570
How does the law regulate sexual desires, acts, expressions and orientations? What are other regulatory regimes of gender and sexuality? How does the law contribute to constructing sexual and gender identities? How useful is it as an emancipatory tool for sex and gender outsiders? In engaging with these questions, this unit explores topics ranging from pornography to gay marriage and parenting, and draws on theoretical sources ranging from queer theory to jurisprudence.
