Intercultural Perspectives: Japanese and English - JPS316
This unit is offered specifically for Japanese language learners with a high level of Japanese language proficiency, students with Japanese language background and Japanese native speakers. It examines the complexity and sensitivity of the cross cultural and linguistic issues of bilingualism, through the detailed comparisons of Japanese and English materials in diverse genres. It aims at further developing students' Japanese/English bilingual capacity for consolidating a foundation for professional translation and interpretation.
