Intermediate Spoken Japanese II - JPS212

This unit continues the focus on enhancing students' skills in aural comprehension, oral expression and intercultural competence. However, this unit also provides students with the skills to negotiate conversations of a more specific nature, for example, social issues and other issues beyond their personal world in addition to everyday social interactions. This unit further develops students' intercultural competence by integrating their understanding of the ways in which culture and language are connected, and the ways in which values are transmitted with the language they produce through role plays, skits and other communicative activities.
