Clinical Linguistic Analysis - SPH827

In this unit, students will become proficient at a number of linguistic analyses used for clinical purposes. Principles of spontaneous language sampling will be discussed, as well as a variety of analyses that can be applied to language samples of disordered children and adults. These include discourse, structural syntactic and pragmatic analyses. The unit will be practically focused, with students working from pathological samples, and designing potential treatment plans based on the analyses.
