Evaluation and the Policy Process - SOC818

This unit introduces students to policy evaluation and accounts for its place in the policy process and social sciences respectively. Students will acquire a knowledge of different approaches to policy evaluation process as well as the ethical and political issues surrounding this process. The unit has a particular focus on how trends informing public sector management have an influence on the evaluation process. The unit is run over four full-day Saturdays during semester.
