Psychological Assessment and Reports - PSYA902

The unit provides a review of psychometric theory and the key tests required in psychological evaluation. The unit teaches test administration, scoring and interpretation of child and adult intelligence scales, memory assessment, achievement tests, certain neuropsychological tests, adaptive behaviour tests as well as personality and emotional functioning assessment. The unit also addresses culture fair testing. Students are also taught about report writing relevant to a wide range of situations where the results of test data has to be communicated. Suicide risk assessment is taught as well as interventions for suicide risk prevention.
