Asian Economic Security Threats - PICT920

The unit examines Asian economic security threats in the context of the region's emerging role in the global economy. Expansion of Western and Asian multinational corporations in the region is discussed, as well as such issues affecting them as intellectual property theft, corruption and crime. It considers specific economic security threats in the Asian region, including those emerging in the fields of energy, technology and finance. The unit gives particular attention to the economic security threats in the major economies of China and India, but also examines those in a number of other countries.
