Intelligence Product and Decision Making - PICT845

Intelligence professionals provide support to government, the private sector and the community, where they offer an advantage through the provision of accurate, timely and independent advice. Intelligence product is, however, largely wasted if it is not communicated effectively to the appropriate decision maker. This course is concerned with the delivery of intelligence product to decision makers. It recognises the need for intelligence managers to be attuned to the context and environment in which they are operating. The course examines client needs against proven principles. It acknowledges the importance of focusing reporting and examines the specific needs of client groups. Finally, it looks at the processes to develop appropriate intelligence products.
