Interprofessional Healthcare - PHTY803
This unit of study includes an integrated clinical component and will provide students with foundation knowledge, skills and attributes necessary for health professionals working collaboratively in the provision of person-centred healthcare. The respective roles, responsibilities and regulation of health professionals in the context of the changing healthcare environments will be examined. The importance of ethical clinical decision making, communication, documentation and respect for cultural differences in professional practice will be addressed. Over the semester, students will have the opportunity to observe, assess clients as they navigate their healthcare in a range of settings.
