Professional Experience A - MSM853
This unit is run in conjunction with MSM854 Professional Experience B. Students complete the first half of a 8-week placement (or equivalent, ie 140 hours) with an appropriate museum or workplace venue, undertaking work assigned by the employer. This unit is only for students undertaking either the Postgraduate Diploma or Masters of Museum Studies. It is not usually available for students in their first semester in the program. Students must consult with the unit convenor prior to enrolment. Students will consult with their supervisor to approve the placement and will be required to submit a project management plan, submit two progress reports and a summary of achievement at the end of the unit.
