MASurg Surgical Elective 2 - MASP802

This program is for surgeons who already have a specialist qualification as a surgeon and who wish to acquire a university qualification which signals mastery of additional skills and competencies in a sub-specialty. Completion of one of the programs signals:



mastery of appropriate subspecialist surgical competencies (24 credit points) achievement of an appropriate level of competence in ethical surgical practice (4 credit points) teaching and research (4 credit points).



Programs are currently available in:



- abdominal



- cardiothoracic surgery



- cerebrovascular surgery



- craniofacial surgery (at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide)



- military surgery



- neuro-oncology



- otolaryngology and head and neck (OHN) surgery



- orthopaedic surgery



- ophthalmology



- plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery



- prostrate surgery



- spinal surgery



- uro-oncology



The pathway for this program can be full-time or part-time. The full-time program is recommended for recently qualified surgeons.
