Comparative Legal History - LAW883

This unit will examine selected legal issues in comparative context, in order to understand the relationship between legal systems and legal development in the common law world. For the purpose of comparison, particularly attention will be placed on the ways in which legal issues differed or converged in selected common law countries, including Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. Topics studies in comparative context will be drawn from both private and public law.
