Environmental Law Research Dissertation - LAW810

This unit provides students with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate advanced research skills through a programme involving online seminars, presentations and supervised research, leading to the submission of a 15,000-20,000 word dissertation. Topics for the dissertation may be drawn from any area of environmental law. The dissertation must be presented within the broader conditions of its relevance: social, historical, philosophical, economic or political contexts. Particular attention is drawn to the development of viable research questions, appropriate methodological choices, advanced research skills and the dissemination of research through oral presentations and written thesis at a level suitable for publication.
