Environmental Education Programs - GSE847

This unit deals with sustainability education in the community, corporate and government sectors with a focus on environmental sustainability and it includes theory, practice and skills development. It examines research in, and models of, the complex web of factors that influence environmental values, attitudes and behaviour, as well as best practice principles for research, planning, design, development, implementation and evaluation of education and change programs. The role and effectiveness of education in promoting environmentally sustainable behaviours as part of broader integrated programs in environmental management, is considered along with education program effectiveness in promoting community interest and participation in active environmental care.
