Environmental Health - GSE819

This unit explores the relationships between the environment and the health people enjoy. Topics are: what is health and how it is measured; the interrelationships between the physical, biological and socio-economic environments; health risk in urban-industrial societies; influences on health from the climate, the built work environment; water, air, infectious diseases; environmental health risk assessment. Note: permission to complete the unit without completion of GSE803 Science in Environmental Management as a prerequisite will only be granted if the student has completed a science-based degree.
