Geophysical Prospecting - GEOS874

This unit is concerned with the application of geophysical techniques to exploration for minerals and petroleum. Topics include potential field, induced polarisation, electromagnetic, seismic reflection and radiometric methods. Generally, emphasis is placed on the applications and relative merits of the various methods for particular aspects of exploration. Off-campus fieldwork will be undertaken.
