Financial Markets - FREG803
This unit outlines the financial markets space, identifying the types of financial instruments, the key participants of each specific financial market, the clearing and settlements systems that facilitate transactions, as well as the systems that store financial instruments. It reviews the history of the money, long term debt, equities, commodities, foreign exchange, derivatives and swaps markets and identifies the principle types of instruments found within each market. The unit also explains the purpose of each financial instrument and the valuation methodologies most commonly used.
