Project Analysis and Evaluation - ECFS900
This unit is about making investment decisions that create value for shareholders, by developing skills required in the assessment and valuation of projects, companies or divisions. Building on the principles from Corporate Finance, we consider in detail practical valuation techniques, including real options, and their application to a wide range of valuation problems. We consider how to generate quality cash flow forecasts, use of decision support tools, such as Monte Carlo simulation using the @Risk software, and how to design decision making processes to get better quality investment decisions. This unit will also review risk management aspects of valuation and investment decision making.
