Early Childhood Professional Practice 2 - ECED825
The unit builds on and extends student teachers' understanding of theories of teaching and learning through a critical exploration of appropriate literature, reflection, interaction with peers and analysis. Central to this unit is a 20 day professional experience placement where the student teacher will be directly involved with young children aged birth to two years. This unit therefore combines theory and practice by enabling students to construct their practical knowledge of teaching and learning through guided reflection. It also enables students to articulate their own philosophy of professional practice as a teacher of young children.
