Independent Writing - Create a Portfolio - CWPG822
Building on the skills and interests established in their previous writing units, students develop a portfolio of work in a genre of their choice, and explore creative writing as both artisanal practice and as cultural intervention and critique. Additional creative writing includes a creative ethnography involving observational experience. The seminar-based sessions comprise writing workshops and discussions of weekly readings to develop a critical awareness of the broader national and international contexts in which their writing takes place. Students wishing to publish in Australian writing journals are given practical advice and support.
