Biodiversity Conservation - BIOL887
This unit deals with the problem of conserving biodiversity as a whole rather than concentrating on individual species or populations. Lectures discuss the concept of biodiversity, the ethics of conservation, threatening processes, legislation, measurement and analysis, and management options. Practical exercises will include biodiversity monitoring and conservation planning.
