Research Project in Biology - BIOL818

The Postgraduate Certificate in Research Preparation provides a pathway for students with a Masters or similar degree by coursework to enter a research degree by providing an introduction to research skills and methods. This unit is the major core unit of the Postgraduate Certificate. Students work under the direct supervision of an academic staff member on a small research project of their chosen topic. Students will design, manage and conduct their own research project, working with a high degree of independence. The project will generate new knowledge, advance scientific research, and will hopefully produce a scientific publication. Students wishing to enrol in the Postgraduate Certificate should approach a supervisor, gain their support and discuss with them a suitable project prior to application.
