Language Teaching Methodologies - APPL921

This unit introduces participants to the key areas of language teaching methodology. It covers the variety of language teaching and learning contexts and introduces methods of analysing and interpreting those contexts. It explores a variety of approaches to language teaching; task, activity and lesson planning; developing the language macro-skills; classroom management; materials evaluation and selection; technological aids to language teaching/learning; teaching knowledge about language; assessment and evaluation.
