The Byzantine Eastern Frontier - AHPG819

This unit traces developments in the conflict between the Byzantine Empire and Sasanian Persia from ca. A.D. 364-640. It also focusses on cultural exchange between the two empires and the way religious developments in both impacted on exchange and conflict. A range of sources are employed in the unit, including ancient texts, archaeology and numismatics.
