Ancient Egyptian Architecture - AHPG814
This unit is a study of the main architectural elements and construction methods of ancient Egyptian temples, tombs and houses. This course serves as an introduction to the major architectural traditions of Ancient Egypt. It will explore how monuments can be used to study the history and culture of Ancient Egypt. After completing this course, students will be able to identify the major characteristics of Egyptian architecture, more specifically what types of buildings were made and used by Egyptians but also how monuments can be used to understand larger political, cultural, religious, and economic structures.
