MSM311: Museum Field Studies
In this unit students visit small, specialist and large city museums, which offer employment opportunities in southeast Australia, to investigate the range of curatorial roles and assess the scientific and cultural value of individual objects in collections, the range of public programs and the status of information management. Assignments are based on comparative studies of museums visited.
