MAS310: Writing the Past, Telling the Future
Some of the most successful writing over the past decade has involved close explorations of happenings long past—'serious' but highly readable, literary investigations of historical events, crimes, family histories, geological and anthropological histories, various other eccentric cultural phenomena, etc. Associated with this has been a body of popular writings about cutting edge scientific and technological research. Students in this unit choose from a number of options, (historical, technical, scientific etc) to produce quality research based writing for a general audience, suitable for print or broadcast.
