JPS341: Research Option
This unit provides students with the opportunity to acquire a deeper understanding of Japan through research on a particular subject. After choosing a research topic in consultation with the unit convenor, students undertake a 3,500-5,000 word research paper. Within the framework of Japanese studies, research topics can be chosen from a wide spectrum of Japan related fields including: Japanese language; culture; history; economics; politics; social and contemporary issues; and international relations involving Japan. Japanese native speakers may enrol in this unit.
