ECH315: Management and Leadership 1 - The Socio-Political Context of Teaching

ECH 315 focuses on a range of issues related to the management of early childhood and school settings. This includes the social and political context within which services are operating; the specific management responsibilities of an authorised supervisor within a centre based service; financial management; approaches to administration, management and leadership roles; the interpersonal and group dynamics of the workplace; the fostering of teams and professional and organisational growth. This unit should assist students to acquire and extend skills and knowledge that enable them to work well with others.
