BIOL358: Physiology II
This unit considers the functioning of the cardiovascular, renal and respiratory systems in maintaining a constant environment in the human body. Emphasis is placed on the control mechanisms that regulate the activity of these body systems. We also investigate how the individual systems interact to control blood pressure and internal pH, and how these systems respond the stress imposed by exercise. Practical classes make use of laboratory and clinical techniques.
