BIOL235: Biostatistics

This unit is designed to extend the basic statistical methods developed in STAT170 Introductory Statistics and STAT171 Statistical Data Analysis. Topics include one-way and two-way analyses of variance; nested analyses of variance; multiple comparisons; simple linear regression; multiple regression; and an introduction to logistic regression. The design aspects of the methods given are emphasised. Use is made of the statistical package, Minitab. Students who may wish to do Honours are advised to include this unit in their program.
