SPH819: Speech Pathology III: Alternative and Augmentative Communication and Severe Communication Impairment

In this unit, students will be introduced to a variety of alternative and augmentative communication options available to individuals with severe communication impairment. Systems for both children and adults whose speech, gestural and handwritten communication is restricted due to either developmental or acquired etiology will be discussed.
