PSYC922: Couple Therapy

Learning outcomes to achieve in this unit include being able to demonstrate skills in assessment of couples from systemic and psychodynamic perspectives and in interviewing couples. Students will be able to identify couple issues that require referral to couple therapy experts, articulate general strategies for dealing with special problems such as domestic violence and separation and divorce in couple therapy situations, as well as identify personal beliefs and attitudes regarding relationships and how those beliefs and attitudes may influence the therapy done with couples.
