ECED830: Early Intervention: Theory and Practice
In exploring theory and practice in the area of early intervention, this unit provides students with the opportunity to integrate their knowledge of principles of child development, developmental processes and early childhood pedagogy into a framework focusing on the developmental, interactive and educational needs of young children who have disabilities. Both theory and research based practice are emphasised, as are the needs of families and how these are met through social policy, service provision, early intervention programs and inclusive education.
