Description

The Social Health programs aim to produce graduates with a broad knowledge and understanding of the personal and social contexts within which social health issues arise and are maintained, the impact of social health issues, and the current responses to these phenomena. A graduate will also have a critical appreciation of the variety of preventive strategies, and a basic competence in developing and implementing such strategies, together with knowledge of the variety of current treatment approaches and goals, and of their relationship to current health care practices. The program also highlights the need for and role of research in this area.
