Description

This program aims to train scientist-practitioners who are able to make a substantial, advanced, and ongoing contribution to the application of psychological knowledge. Graduates are well grounded in theory and practice, and capable of moving across a range of clinically oriented areas and of assuming full independent professional responsibility in clinical settings and of maintaining an enquiring research attitude in day-to-day work. The progam is comprised of coursework, field placements and a research thesis. The Doctor of Clinical Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and approved by the Australian Psychological Society's College of Clinical Psychologists. Students are eligible to apply for registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia after completing their degree. Following completion of a further program of supervision (registrar program) graduates may apply to the Psychology Board of Australia to be endorsed in clinical psychology.

  2. and completion of specific requirements as set out in the Schedule of Postgraduate Programs.
