PSY343: Adult Development and Ageing

The overall aim of this unit is to draw on developmental theories and empirical research to explore both universal experiences and individual differences in adult development in a contemporary Australian context. The importance of context is a theme throughout the unit and we also explore different cultural constructions of adult development. During the unit students are required to conduct an in-depth interview with an adult regarding life experiences and their development as an adult. Tutorials emphasise development of interviewing skills and group presentations and discussions of the interview material.
