PHL354: Philosophy Capstone Unit
This unit serves two purposes. First, it takes a retrospective look over the philosophy degree by bringing together major themes in the three streams of the philosophy program—mind and metaphysics; European philosophy and social philosophy; and ethical theory and applied ethics—and by enabling reflection of graduate capabilities and how these have been achieved within the degree. Second, it looks forward beyond the degree to the philosophy Honours program, by introducing students to more advanced research skills and some of the key research topics currently being investigated by philosophy staff. The unit thus provides students with the opportunity to become acquainted with cutting-edge research within the discipline.
