MAS110: Introduction to Digital Media Production
The aim of this unit is to introduce students to digital media production. The focus is towards small scale digital media production for Web 2.0. Basic skills in digital media production are taught, across text, image, video and sound. The opportunities for creative expression and participation in a digital lab environment are provided. The unit combines work on the conceptual, aesthetic and technical elements underlying digital media production, exploring the ways in which contemporary media are both converging and marking out new territories. The unit is interdisciplinary and eclectic, with a focus towards innovative digital media production.
