LAW525: Advanced Topics in Environmental Law
This unit examines international and domestic climate law and policy from an interdisciplinary perspective with a focus upon the energy sector. The unit examines the role of law in addressing climate and energy related issues in Australia and overseas. In particular the unit explores Australia's response to the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol as well as domestic energy policy, the role of an emissions trading system and an analysis of current international legal challenges and responses including the international legal instruments and institutions relating to climate protection.
