HLTH302: Ethical and Legal Issues in Health
This unit provides an introduction to the area of health law and ethics. It is designed to provide students with an understanding and appreciation of the importance of law and ethics in the health area. The unit is designed to identify and discuss the impact that law and ethics has on the continuing evolution of health in Australia and internationally. The unit examines significant areas of change in the health field and critically looks at the legal ramifications as a consequence of these changes. The main purpose of this unit is to equip students with the knowledge base, skills and opportunity so that they can engage in meaningful exchange of information and debate regarding this subject area.
