AHIS343: Early China: History and Archaeology
This unit is a study of selected topics in early Chinese history, including: Shang archaeology; the unification of the empire; the rise of the Han empire; the cosmopolitan civilisation of the Tang; the Silk Road; Confucianism; Daoism; Buddhism in China from the Han to the Song dynasty; and the early history of Nestorian Christianity and Manichaeism in China.
