AHIS312: Rome and the Caesars

This unit is a study of Rome from the murder of Julius Caesar (44 BC) to the end of the reign of Hadrian (AD 138). There is a large emphasis on political history, but attention is also paid to social, cultural and economic developments. Evidence is drawn from documents, monuments and the literature of the period.
