CBMS880: Molecular and Medical Biotechnology

The unit will be composed of lectures, a significant hands-on laboratory component, student seminars, debates, tutorials, assignments and readings. A visit to local industry will be arranged. We will discuss examples of cutting-edge research and biotechnology-related recent developments and how these relate to our personal lives, society and industry. Visiting lecturers from industry and various academic disciplines will lead discussion on their area of expertise.
