ACES814: Assessment Issues
This unit is designed as an introduction to issues in educational assessment with the focus on decision making rather than the technical dimensions of educational measurement. The unit investigates a range of contemporary issues in assessment including: national and international trends in curriculum, assessment and reporting; the effective use of feedback to support learning; the principles of assessment task design; and approaches to marking, grading and reporting.
