Master of Actuarial Practice

Description
This postgraduate degree will be offered to graduates with a non actuarial undergraduate degree in a quantitative or business related discipline. The degree may serve as a conversion program in actuarial science and will allow such students to complete parts 1 and 2 of the professional actuarial qualifications of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. The degree may also serve as a way to undertake specialised study in actuarial and related statistical science together with related areas including finance, economics and the regulation of financial institutions. Some students may be interested in using the degree as a pathway to a research degree in actuarial science.
